Carryover in the TRAF technology: really impossible?

CLINICALCHEMISTRY, Vol.32, No. 7, 1986 1411 using samples of a quality-control product (Monitrol, Dade). Lanolin, mineral oil, petrolatum, and the hand lotion withoutglycerin did not affect the results. Glycerin and all hand lotions containing glycerin falsely increased them by 60 to 3900 mgfL. We have been informed that KOdak plans to supply sample tips in a packaging that precludes their handling by the operator. Until this is available, users of the Ektachem should be aware of this potential source of error and take care not to contaminate the sample tips. If a dry-skin product must be used, it should be one that contains no glycerin.
